Kindness of strangers

So here's two things that have happened to me recently, like since quarentine.

Two drivers

So Jeremy and I are walking along Brunswick street (big four lane road) towards the bridge when a wildly gesticulating driver gets my attention sort of yelling at me. I am nervous at first then she seems to be saying behind me so I look back confused. Then the next driver down the road (in a truck this time so he can lean out better) tells me it's on the road behind me. And it's Jeremy's go card which had fallen out of his phone while he was walking holding it. I was touched that it took two people to stop us being dopes and then having an annoying problem but they did it.

Two flowers

So Jem and I are walking through the park and there's a guy on an industrial mower who stops what he's doing when he sees us and leaps off the mower to give me a flower. He sort of twigs to Jeremy being there in the middle and says like just giving the flower mate in a don't shoot kind of way. Must have broken it while he was mowing and then didn't want to waste it.

And then this Monday an older man was walking up and saw me and handed me a flower, then walked on just dreamy.

It's been a good month for the love of strangers around here.
