We just passed a hearse broken down by the side of the road.  There's a story there I'm sure.

Departed

We are on the road.  The day was hard.  I wept to say goodbye. 

Packing

I've just about gotten my bag packed.  I've done it twice now but will probably go for a third. 

There's been some reversals such as my heat blowing but I made it through. 

Snow days are conducive to losing heat but also so beauty and rest and awesome projects. 

Props to Zak for a glorious snow walk and cocoa lunch.

Ingress

I lost my hacking streak tonight at 315 days.  I shouldn't be crushed but I kind of am.  I can't picture myself ever wanting to get this far again.  

My mom tried to tell me and I tried to tell myself that I got level 16 the medal that actually counts and etc. 

Still...

Finding emails

I spent all day yesterday doing the job I've already done.   Jes and I went through all my emails and confirmations and organised the info into subject specific documents and organised the money into a person specific budget. 

There are still a few issues that need clarification.   And some undone tasks.  Today we're on for printing some stuff and tidying loose ends.  Tomorrow house repairs.  And watch this space for trip info. 

I've been fever sick for a minute but better now. 

New year new life

I've been having some epic project time lately.   Anne and I set her beautiful china cabinet up which involved sorting a lot of stuff from her mom plus clearing out half a closet. 

Then I went through and winnowed Christmas with Toney which she'd been thinking about for years and was really ready to do.  We wound up with both projects with a bunch of stuff to take home but I feel richer from the experience.  

Toney and I also made traditional new years black eyed peas and tomatoes and I also had mac and cheese and sweet potatoes for added delicious.   I found myself really happy today.  Anne and I really came through to our close best friend selves on my visit and I've just had a happy time today.  

Oh and I have awesome new hair.
